| Description: | Even as we celebrate the
season, our thoughts turn to those who are less fortunate and don’t have a home
and a hearth to share. Digging out of despair and building a life is something
that a person struggling with homelessness has to do for himself/herself . . .
but there’s help to be found in the form of mentors, willing to provide an extra
“push” along the way. These mentors do so by building a bridge of trust that
can lift even the neediest of those among us to a safe
haven. |

| Description: | The holidays are a time when friends, family and community all get just a little closer. But what if you come from Indianapolis' King Park area, a neighborhood that's seen its share of tough times? The holidays are still the tonic. To unite a community, you take a traditional Christmas favorite and make it special with a larger than life twist -- in this case, making giant, ornate luminaries out of huge plastic barrels. |

| Description: | We're going to do a little "what was once lost is found" story about an object that was always in plain sight. It's about a magnificent nativity scene, carved in Italy nearly a century ago, that caused quite a stir when it was first put on display in Indianapolis. You see, it features quite ethnically-diverse figures, of both African American and Arabic origins, and the KKK, once a powerful force in Hoosier politics, did not take kindly to it gracing an Indiana church. But times changed, wiser heads prevailed and the nativity survived, only to inadvertently be allowed to decay over the years. But now it's been magnificently restored to its original luster. |

| Description: | We hear that the entire town of Shelbyville awaits the arrival of the jolly guy in the red suit. No, not Tom Crean . . . Santa Claus! And what better way to spend the time waiting than to have a parade -- complete with floats, antique cars, cheerleaders and reindeer costumes. |
