| Description: | “Begin the Beguine,”"You're the Top," “I Love Paris,” “Night and Day,” “Anything Goes” -- just some of the songs written by one of the most prolific Broadway composers of all time, Cole Porter. He established a standard for songwriting that has never quite been equaled. Now because of his Indiana roots, you would think that anywhere this worldwide legend hung his hat would have been enshrined by the powers that be. So, it might surprise you to know that his boyhood home was once condemned property. But let's head to Peru, where the house has been given a second chance and is almost ready to make its debut to a whole new audience of Porter fans. And baby, if its condemnation was the bottom, it’s restoration is the top! |

| Description: | In the late 1800s, some gentle countryfolk got together and named their town for the Latin word for “I love” -- Amo -- which was a pretty forward-thinking thing to do. Because every Tuesday night nowadays, said emotion is on full display at the "Jam" -- an open-mike, impromptu, bring your own fiddle, guitar, mandolin, or spoons celebration of bluegrass -- guaranteed to do a whole lotta good for what ails ya.
"Amo Jam" held every Tuesday, 6:30-9:30pm
