BRIDGE TO THE TEST

Saturday nights into Sunday mornings at 2:00 a.m. on WFYI TV

Members of the high school class of 2003 can prepare for their Graduation Qualifying Examination (GQE) through a cooperative project of the Second Chance Center at IVY Tech State College and WFYI TV 20. Bridge to the Test, a Math and English remediation program for students trying to pass the GQE, involves a weekly meeting with a qualified instructor, televised review sessions that complement the classroom instruction on weekend mornings, and a Web site of curricula activities based upon the seven math proficiencies developed by the Indiana Department of Education. Registration forms for these tuition-free classes are available from Cyndi Stout at IVY Tech State College at (317) 921-4261. Bridge to the Test is funded by Pathways to College and the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation.
