Jane Owen and New Harmony

New Harmony, Indiana is a thriving, close-knit community that has taken action to make their vision for a future a reality. The evidence of their action can be seen everywhere, in their beautiful gardens and public spaces, their stunning modern architecture and lovingly restored older buildings. There’s also a new convention and hotel center, the Red Geranium, to accommodate the many town-wide events, such as the New Harmony Project for writers and the Artists’ Paint-Out for painters, which bring in several visitors.

Of New Harmony’s 850 residents, Jane Owen stands out as a tireless champion for New Harmony’s past, present and future. At the age of 91 she continues to build upon New Harmony’s extraordinary history. It is through her joyful leadership that the town of New Harmony has truly blossomed. This episode is a unique opportunity to listen in on a conversation with an amazing woman and be encouraged to become a true community builder like her.
