WFYI would like to thank our sponsors, wineries, distributors, caterers, attendees, volunteers and supporters.
Highlights from the event include:
- Tickets for this year's event were sold out with over 900 attendees.
- More than 60 tables were filled with international, domestic and Indiana wines.
- WFYI was proud to take another step in making its events environmentally friendly by offering to recycle the wine bottles. The Department of Public Works' Event Recycling Team recycled over 1,000 pounds of bottles, conserving the materials and energy that it would take to mine those materials for glass production. The wine bottle recycling reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 167 pounds.
- United Package Liquors Family of Beverage Shoppes' Wine Tasting 101 sessions were full. WFYI Wine Fest attendees took advantage of these three opportunities to learn more about wine tasting, wine and food pairings and general wine knowledge.
- Guests were given the opportunity to meet the hosts of their favorite local WFYI programs including the WFYI news team, The Art of the Matter, Blues House Party, The Classical Connection, Across Indiana, Inside INdiana Business, Indiana Week in Review and Indiana Lawmakers.

Advanced ticket sales to next year's event will become available on WFYI's Web site in December 2008. "My husband and I have a collection of about 400 bottles of wine in our home. We are always on the lookout for these types of events and have attended quite a few over the years. We really look forward to Indy Wine Fest- it’s the best in the city."
- Sheila from Indianapolis
