Welcome!
WFYI is collaborating with the Association
of Public Television Stations (APTS),
a Washington, DC-based advocacy
organization that works on behalf
of the public television industry.
The idea behind the Action Center
is to put public television supporters
like you in direct contact with your
elected representatives in the U.S.
Senate and House of Representatives.
By doing so, you can let them know
your views on issues important to
public television.
With your assistance, the Action
Center will help to ensure that all
public television stations continue
to provide essential services to
American communities
The
APTS
works like this: Visit the APTS website
and sign up to receive information
on
political developments relating to
issues facing public television.
You may also select areas of special
interest, and receive alerts when
that topic becomes a focus of federal
policy-makers’ attention.
Through the website,
you'll be invited to make your views
known
to persons or agencies that make
these policies. You may fax, email,
write your own letter, or use the
form we provide. Your letter will
be sent immediately and you will
be updated on the outcome of policy
changes or legislation.
Your participation in the APTS
is totally up to you. You will receive
periodic
emails only after you register and
you can drop out at any time.
Thank you for your support of WFYI
and public television, and welcome
to all of our new members!
