What is WFYI's Visionary Circle?

WFYI is dedicated to the idea that television and radio can be a consistently positive force in people’s lives. Combining the remarkable quality of National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting Service programming, acclaimed local productions, and now the power of digital broadcast technology, WFYI engages the mind and spirit of its viewers and listeners.

Donor support is the cornerstone of public broadcasting. The Visionary Circle has been established to assure the continuation and expansion of WFYI’s notable broadcast and education services.

From “Reading Rainbow” to “Ready To Learn,” Visionary Circle member support helps to extend the reach of WFYI’s exceptional programs to teachers and parents, shaping young minds and creating an appreciation for learning.

Levels of Support

In addition to the reward of supporting a valued community institution, Visionary Circle members enjoy special benefits, personalized services and greater overall involvement with WFYI.

Patron’s Club

• WFYI Members’ Magazine, a monthly guide to PBS and NPR programs, and services broadcast and presented by WFYI.
• WFYI MemberCard, offering dining and cultural admission discounts.
• Recognition in WFYI Annual Report and other publications.
• An invitation for two to attend the annual “Thanks for Giving” event.
• A program videotape or other gift specially selected for WFYI Visionary Circle members.
• Two subscriptions to WFYI Members’ Magazine to give as gifts.
• Use of the Patron Video Library, allowing you access to your favorite PBS shows.
• A subscription to the quarterly Visionary Circle Newsletter.
• Advance notice of special events.

  Individuals contributing an annual unrestricted gift between $1,000 and $2,499 will be recognized as members of the Visionary Circle Patron’s Club.

Benefactor’s Club

• All the privileges of the previous level, plus . . .
• An invitation to the annual Benefactor’s Club event and tour.
• An invitation to selected screenings and previews of WFYI or PBS produced programs.
• Exclusive access to personalized service through the Benefactor’s Club member’s direct phone line.
• An invitation to meet PBS/NPR or WFYI celebrities.
• A companion publication or other gift specially selected for WFYI Benefactor’s Club members.

  Individuals contributing an annual unrestricted gift between $2,500 and $4,999 will be recognized as members of the Visionary Circle Benefactor’s Club.

President’s Council

• All the privileges of the previous level, plus . . .
• An invitation to a private luncheon with WFYI’s President and General Manager.
• On-air television recognition of President’s Council donors.
• An annual opportunity to videotape a holiday message.

  Individuals contributing an annual unrestricted gift between $5,000 and $9,999 will be recognized as members of the Visionary Circle President’s Council.

Chairman’s Committee

• All the privileges of the previous level, plus . . .
• Additional complimentary tickets (4) to the WFYI Benefactor’s Club event and tour.
• Feature profile of Chairman’s Committee donors in a WFYI monthly Members’ Magazine.
• A private station tour and reception for a party of six.

  Individuals contributing an annual unrestricted gift of $10,000 and above will be recognized as members of the Visionary Circle Chairman’s Committee.
