INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Department of Public Works’ leaf collection ends this Friday.

After Friday, all leaves must be placed inside the 96-gallon cart in order to be picked up.

Residents who still have bags of leaves after Dec. 2 may place them as one of their two heavy trash items for the month. Residents can find out when their heavy trash pickup day is by entering address information in the Government Profile website.

Residents may also take advantage of the Citizens Transfer Station,at 2324 S Belmont Ave., and drop off any excess leaves or trash on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a fee to utilize this service – $2 per safely loaded car and $5 per pickup truck or SUV load. More information can be found by clicking here.
