Girl Scouts Announces Honorees For Indiana Lt. Governor's Leadership Luncheon

Indianapolis, IN – Girl Scouts of Central Indiana has announced the list of honorees for this year's Indiana Lt. Governor's Leadership Luncheon.

The event will honor Angela Cain, community affairs director, WTHR-TV; Sarah Fisher, co-owner, Carpenter Fisher Hartman Racing; Cindy Hoye, executive director, Indiana State Fair Commission; and The Honorable Viola J. Taliaferro, retired Monroe County circuit-court judge.

"We are delighted to honor these four outstanding women," said Deborah Hearn Smith, chief executive officer. "They each exemplify the values that Girl Scouts instills in girls' lives that build leaders in all fields."

The luncheon will be Oct. 29, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Table sponsorships are available for $2,500 and include seating for 10 people. For more information, contact Karen Schuman, chief development officer, at 317-924-6852 or kschuman@girlscoutsindiana.org or visit girlscoutsindiana.org.

Last year's Indiana Lt. Governor's Leadership Luncheon raised more than $275,000.

"The funds raised at the luncheon will help us achieve our mission of teaching leadership skills by building courage, confidence, and character in our girls," said luncheon committee chair Marianne Glick. "We will be better able to provide girls with caring adults to help guide their way."
