IU Health And UnitedHealthcare Reach Agreement

Indiana University Health and UnitedHealthcare are back together, with a new contract agreement announced Thursday.

It’s retroactive to Jan. 1, 2014 and will allow the estimated 400,000 Indiana patients insured by UnitedHealthcare uninterrupted coverage.  The previous contract expired at the end of 2013 after the two parties were unable to agree on terms of a new deal.

Negotiations have been ongoing and the new agreement confirms that IU Health doctors and facilities remain in-network providers in UnitedHealthcare insurance plans.
