New Day Care Center Focuses On Infants And Toddlers

The demand for specialized infant and toddler education and care in Indianapolis is great.  Thankfully, Day Nursery of Indianapolis is putting the finishing touches on its newly renovated facility.

The 16th Street Infant and Toddler Center will accommodate 60 infants and toddlers in its state-of-the-art building.  The daycare will also serve as a training site for best instruction practices giving employees a chance to learn from one another.

Day Nursery President and CEO Ted Maple says the center will offer early education opportunities which are key for brain development.

"Very little public conversation has been around the importance of having a high quality early childhood program for babies," Maple said.

The center will use an original concept called “looping” where one care provider stays with one child for the first three years.

Day Nursery is currently contacting around 250 families waiting for placement.  The new center should be open in mid-November.
