State Wants Your Vote On Best Of Indiana Travel, Fun

Staff Report -- TheStatehouseFile.com

Hoosiers can now vote to decide the best signature fall food, fall family-fun destination and college football game day tradition in Indiana.

The voting, which is run by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development and Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann’s office, is open now to the public at VisitIndianaFall.com.

Members of Indiana’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry recommended the nominees for all three voting categories.

The site, which is linked with VisitIndiana.com, also features detailed information about travel and recreation opportunities available throughout Indiana during the fall season, including nearby dining and hotel options. And the Fall Color Blog provides updates on opportunities to view the changing leaves throughout the state.

Mark Newman, who serves as executive director of the tourism office, said fall is the “perfect time” to travel the state.

“From farms to festivals and foliage to football fields, Indiana families can find a multitude of excursion ideas at VisitIndianaFall.com to fit any pocketbook,” Newman said.

The contest winners will be announced in November.
