WFYI's Spirited Chase Wins Award For 'Riskiest' Venture

WFYI's Spirited Chase Wins Award For 'Riskiest' Venture

The 2013 Steering Committee of the Spirit and Place Festival has awarded WFYI’s Spirited Chase a $2,500 prize as the community program most emblematic of the "risk" theme during this year’s festival.

WFYI partnered with several local organizations for its 5th Annual Spirited Chase on Nov. 9, as part of the Spirit and Place Festival. The interactive, on-the-go program offered participants the chance to visit five secret locations in exploration of the nature of risk and why we choose to take, or avoid, risks. It also gave the participants a chance to learn about the organizations, and what they provide the community.

Activities included comedy karaoke at Big Car, exploration of the Indiana Medical History Museum, bike riding at the Indy Cycloplex, outdoor adventures at Jameson Camp and lunch at Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center. Other partners on the event included Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Indianapolis, Well Done Marketing, Best Chocolate in Town, Jacquie’s Café and Weber Grill.

Plans are already in the works for next year’s Spirited Chase.
