IPBS Freelance Reporter
The network of Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations (IPBS) seeks a part-time, freelance, multi-media journalist to cover the 2014 Indiana legislative session.
The ideal candidate should have an understanding of Indiana State government, a passion for good storytelling, experience writing for broadcast and web under tight deadlines, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. A Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Political Science or related field is required.
Duties include: Covering the Indiana General Assembly, the Governor's Office and other State offices, participating in election coverage, developing story ideas of statewide interest, producing feature stories outside the legislative session and beyond the Statehouse.
Compensation is commensurate with position expectations and experience.
