Always dreamed of working in television production?

If you’re looking to get your hands in the production process, this unpaid internship might be perfect for you. Not only will you get the opportunity to work with an Emmy Award-winning WFYI staff, but you will get the chance to take part in every aspect of the production process.

This internship takes up to 30+ hours a week, as WFYI wants you to learn the ins and outs of production. This opportunity is ideal for students who want to work in the television production field.

Position

During your internship, you will assist with the following projects in the production department:

Day to Day Activities

  • Monday morning Production Meetings at 9:00am. These meetings are very helpful in the path planning process for interns.

Administrative Duties

  • Field Production (Videography/Photography, Audio, Lighting, Gripping)
  • Studio Production (Studio Camera, Teleprompter, Studio Lighting, Audio Board, Floor Directing, etc)
  • Post Production (AVID Adrenaline, Script Writing, Story Editing, Transcriptions & Closed Captioning, After Effects)

Qualifications

  • Organized, excellent interpersonal skills and works well in a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • PC computer environments experience
  • Bonus Skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, image capture and anything else you can bring to the table.
