About the Event
Celebrate Bob Ross’ birthday with WFYI! On Tuesday, October 29 from 8 to 11 p.m. Nicholas Hankins will lead a virtual Bob Ross Paint Night over Zoom. A one-time donation of $150 or sustaining gift of $12.50 per month for a year covers the cost of supplies and provides attendees with the Zoom link. Paint kits will be mailed to registrant’s home address before the virtual event. Registration closes October 4.
Prefer to paint with a group? Join WFYI Live on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the WFYI studios for an in-person viewing and paint along of the pre-recorded Zoom class with Nicholas Hankins. Bring your painting kit, enjoy snacks and the company of other public media fans. The in-person event will not include additional instruction.

Please note: Each person who is painting will need their own ticket. For example, if two people will be painting together, please register for two tickets so we can send you two paint kits. Paint kits are provided by our friends at Bob Ross Inc.
ABOUT NICHOLAS HANKINS
Nicholas Hankins began painting along with Bob Ross on his local public TV station in 1993. He was just eleven years old when he got his first Bob Ross paint kit, saying he felt “an indelible excitement that day which has grown exponentially over the past three decades.” Nicholas is a Certified Bob Ross Instructor and host of the new how-to painting series The Joy of Painting with Nicholas Hankins: Bob Ross’ Unfinished Season.
