About the Event

Skype with the producers of the PBS KIDS program Molly of Denali!

Molly of Denali is the newest program from PBS KIDS. Produced by WGBH in Boston, MA, Molly of Denali follows the daily adventures of 10-year-old Alaska native Molly Mabray, her family, her dog Suki and her friends Tooey and Trini.

The series is the first ever nationally distributed children's show to feature an Alaska Native as the main character and protagonist.

Hear from Executive Producer Dorothea Gillim and Creative Producer Princess Johnson about how Molly of Denali came to be. Learn about how they integrate informational text as the guiding curriculum for the show, and how they work with Alaska Natives to accurately portray Alaskan culture.
