Waitress Telling of Pie Contest & Ba Na Na Na Tapping Party

Join WFYI, Broadway in Indianapolis and Sun King Brewery for an evening of storytelling in the live round of the Telling of the Pie Contest, inspired by the Broadway musical WAITRESS coming to Indy on April 23.

From heartfelt to hilarious, Six Finalists will share the story of their favorite pies on Thursday, April 18th at Sun King Brewery Downtown and Sun King will unveil the newest beer, inspired by the hit broadway show, Ba-Na-Na-Na.

Finalist will tell their pie stories from 6-7pm
Award Ceremony to follow at 7:30pm

Ba-Na-Na-Na (Do-Do-Do-Do-Do) - is a Banana Cream Pie inspired German-style Hefeweizen brewed in tribute to Broadway Across America – Indianapolis’s presentation of Waitress. Bananas, toffee, and an entire banana cream pie were used in the brewing process, providing an additional twist to the flavors of banana and clove that come from the unique strain of ale yeast used in making the beer.

A portion of the pint proceeds will benefit Second Helpings.
