The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will continue a program this year that helps people who are behind on child support payments get their driver's license reinstated.

The two candidates for Marion County Prosecutor, incumbent Democrat Ryan Mears and Republican Cyndi Carrasco, spoke to the public on how they plan to address violent crime, the near-total abortion ban and prosecuting simple possession of marijuana cases, among other topics.

The Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police announced Monday that the union voted to have “no confidence” in the Marion County prosecutor and the courts system.

Prosecutors said the charges, which can be refiled, were dropped following the deaths of two witnesses, including a woman who told police that Dunn told her he killed the victims.
