Indianapolis Public Schools' administration wants to remove the leaders of two failing schools and replace them with independent operators because students struggled for too many years without academic results on par with other city schools.

The district conducted reviews of seven struggling schools, to provide feedback and recommendations on whether a restart should be considered.
