Indianapolis Opera, in collaboration with WFYI Public Television presents a holiday concert special with Indianapolis native and critically acclaimed Metropolitan Opera soprano Angela Brown. She celebrates the holiday season with Maestro James Caraher, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, the Indianapolis Opera Chorus and the North United Methodist Church Children's Choir in a memorable holiday concert that's sure to delight and inspire the entire family. This visually and musically stunning performance was recorded in December 2006 at the historic Tabernacle Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, that was regally attired for the holiday season.
"Holiday Homecoming with Angela Brown," a one-hour concert special, features guest musicians and music personally selected by Angela Brown. Enjoy the lush, classical favorites of "Home For the Holidays," "O Holy Night," "Ave Maria," and soul-stirring interpretations of "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas" and "Mary Did You Know." Combine these with contemporary, seasonal choral anthems, heart-warming selections with the children's choir and a grand finale employing all voices and instruments for "Let There Be Peace on Earth," and the holiday season is complete.
