Carmel And Fishers Chambers Of Commerce Merge

On Tuesday, Carmel and Fishers announced the decision to merge chambers of commerce.  The new organization is dubbed One Zone and brings a more unified approach for businesses in the area.

Mo Merhoff, Carmel Chamber president, will now serve as OneZone president.  She says it makes sense for the two groups to work together.

"We were motivated by the strength of Hamilton County businesses that are currently being served by six different chambers," says Merhoff.

Merhoff says the chambers have been working together for years hosting events and combining legislative efforts.

Members of both chambers are expected to ratify the board’s approval of the merger later this month.   The combined membership of OneZone will be around 1,200.
