There is never a shortage of things to do in downtown Indy—and August is no exception.
One of the longest running and highest attended gaming convention in the world returns this week (August 4-7th) at the Indiana Convention Center. 49-thousand people will be around for four days of gaming, exhibits, tournaments and seminars. Special events will take place on Georgia Street nightly including food trucks and a Sun King beer garden.
The Drum Corps International World Champsionship comes to town Aug.10-13th. It brings 61,000 to downtown Indy. It marks the eighth straight year that the Championships have been held at Lucas Oil Stadium.
August also brings Motorcycles on Meridian. A lot of bikes will take over Monument Circle, South Meridian and Georgia Street August 27.
New this year—IN Light Indiana on August 26 and 27th. Indy will showcase the power of light, technology and creativity for an event on the Canal that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.
Summer festivals are still in full swing this month with the Mass Ave Criterium, IndyFringe, India Day and DigIN—a taste of Indiana.
