PPE Shipments To Indiana Schools Will Begin Soon

Indiana officials say the state will soon begin shipping personal protective equipment to Hoosier schools as they prepare to reopen to in-person classes.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is helping coordinate shipments, which will begin as soon as Monday. IEDC Chief of Staff Luke Bosso said schools will receive more than one reusable, cloth face mask for every student.

“In addition to the reusable masks for students, the participating corporations or schools will also receive 500 disposable masks, two- or four-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer and 10-gallon bottles of hand sanitizer,” Bosso said.

The masks and sanitizer are made or sourced by Indiana companies. Shipments will be made based on the schools’ restart dates.
