In a statement, the Purdue athletics department said Brohm’s daily COVID antigen test was positive, and it was waiting on confirmation of those results from a polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, test. The Big Ten conference requiresall coaches, student-athletes, trainers, and others on the field to undergo this daily antigen testing.

Brohm informed the football team and staff members Sunday afternoon, and is currently isolating at home.

The Boilermakers are currently scheduled to kick off their Big 10 football season at home against Iowa this Saturday, Oct. 24.
