Dr. Josh Mugele was helping officials create disaster medicine systems at JFK Memorial Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia when the hospitals' first Ebola patient showed up.

Josh Mugele is an emergency physician and a Disaster Medicine Fellow at the Indiana University School of Medicine and through MESH, a non-profit, public-private coalition located in Indianapolis that enables healthcare providers to respond effectively to emergency events.

As the capstone experience of his fellowship, Mugele was helping officials create disaster medicine systems at JFK Memorial Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia. He was there when the hospital's first Ebola patient showed up.
