A new study from the Center for Health and Justice Research at the IU Public Policy Institute looked at the challenges two mobile crisis teams face while addressing the overdose epidemic in rural Indiana.
It identified barriers to care, including basic needs that are not being met -- a problem exacerbated by the pandemic.
Staci Rising is Program Manager at the center, and she spoke with WFYI's Terri Dee about the roles and responsibilities of each team and how the center hopes people will use the study.
