A hiring event will take place Thursday to fill numerous positions at Indianapolis Animal Care Services.

Some available jobs include adoption coordinator, adoption counselors, animal control officers and veterinary assistants.

IACS spokeswoman Brandi Pahl said training will be provided for most positions.

“The big thing is that we hope you are an animal lover, you need to feel comfortable around animals, especially around dogs, “  Paul said.

Interested candidates are encouraged to come to the shelter, 2600 S. Harding St., for on-site interviews between 3 and 7 p.m. IACS intends to make job offers to prospective employees the following day.  Most new hires will be able to begin work Jan. 12.
