Spokesperson Roxie Randall said springtime always brings an influx of pregnant cats and new litters coming to the shelter.

“We know there’s going to be lots of kittens coming in and we’re hoping to get more foster families set up who are prepared to take in kittens,” Randall said.

IACS says foster homes not only keep kittens healthy but can also help with socialization and prepare them for their new homes once they are able to be adopted.

Attendees can learn more about fostering at the event on Saturday, April 2.

The foster program is also in need of donated supplies. An Amazon Wish List for the program can be found here.
