Son Calls Slain Indy Officer "Most Amazing Person"

An Indianapolis police officer slain by her ex-husband and fellow officer who then killed himself was eulogized by her son as the "most amazing person" in a letter read at her funeral.

About 300 people attended the funeral for Officer Kimberlee Carmack at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. In a letter read to them, Officer Dustin Carmack thanked his mother's friends and the community for their love and support since police say she was shot by Sgt. Ryan Anders on April 17.

Indianapolis Police Chief Rick Hite handed a folded America flag to Dustin Carmack after graveside services ended at the Heroes of Public Safety section of Crown Hill Cemetery.

Officials say Anders' funeral set for Thursday isn't considered an official police service.
