Ice Storm Warning For Parts Of Indiana

Freezing rain left icy vegetation and roadways across a large portion of Indiana by Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service Indianapolis has issued an Ice Storm Warning in effect until noon Thursday.

Portions of central, east central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana are affected.

The freezing rain was leading to thousands of power outages. Many schools, including Indianapolis Public Schools, are closed due to weather conditions. 

A Winter Weather Advisory be in effect from Noon to 7 p.m. Thursday.
