Courtesy Indiana KitchenDELPHI, Ind. (AP) — A large north central Indiana pork processing plant will expand and create nearly 100 jobs.
Indiana Packers Corp. and its Japan-based parent company Mitsubishi Corp. announced Tuesday a $41 million expansion of its Delphi operations will create 91 jobs. It said it plans to begin hiring for production line positions immediately. The joint venture with Itoham Foods processes pork and bacon for the U.S., Japan and Mexico.

Indiana Packers currently has more than 2,000 full-time employees in Delphi and Frankfort.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Indiana Packers up to $475,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $28,000 in training grants.
