An Indianapolis City-County Councilor and his wife have COVID-19.  Seventy-seven-year-old District 9 council member William Duke Oliver and his 70-year-old wife Dorothy have been fighting the virus since early December.  She was briefly admitted to the hospital with a more severe case.  Both are now recovering at home.

Oliver said he appreciates the well wishes, "but what I want most is for everyone to be careful. Stay masked, stay home, stay safe.”

Oliver is the second council member to disclose their battle with the virus.  District 16 councillor Kristin Jones announced she had COVID in May.
