Indy Councilor Jared Evans Talks Plans For New Infrastructure Funding

Councilor Jared Evans is the chair of a new study commission that will look at infrastructure funding and projects in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis budget for 2019 was introduced Monday. It includes a sizable investment in bridges, roads, streets, and sidewalks – the mayor’s response to a winter season plagued by crumbling infrastructure.

The City-County Council also created a commission to study the issue. WFYI’s Drew Daudelin sat down with Councilor Jared Evans, the commission chair, to talk about their goals.
