A criminal record makes it difficult for someone to get work and a place to live, so Indiana has a Second Chance Law that allows some old records to be sealed or expunged.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s office will offer free assistance this month to those seeking an expungement of their criminal history, or restoration of a suspended driver’s license. WFYI’s Taylor Bennett spoke to Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry about the Second Chance Workshop on July 23, at the Marion County Public Health Department Building.
