Sub-zero wind chill temperatures continue

The National Weather Service reports temperatures are gradually warming Saturday afternoon, but sub-zero wind chills "will continue to be possible over the next few hours."

Saturday's forecast for the day warns of wind chill values as low as -21. The projected high is 13.

The storm warning ended Friday evening, which included dangerously cold wind chills, as low as -40.

Central Indiana -- from Delphi, south to Franklin -- saw snow after 3 p.m. on Thursday, with accumulations between 2 - 5 inches. Temperatures dropped more than 30 degrees in a matter of hours. The heaviest snow occured Thursday. 

Saturday afternoon begins a warming trend with a low around 4 and wind chill values as low as -12. Sunday day the projected high is 17, and there is a 20 percent chance of snow Sunday night, after 1 a.m..

The National Weather Service continues to warn people the low temperatures can be life threatening and that people should "use caution while traveling and wear appropriate clothing, a hat and gloves."
