Indianapolis residents have a new online tool to view road closures across Marion County.

The service, which is free to access online, was launched April 2. Users can search Marion County addresses to see how roads might be impacted by conditions like weather or construction projects.

“This new tool marks a significant step forward in the City’s commitment to make government service and information easier to access for the citizens we serve,” Abbey Brands, director of the Department of Business and Government Services, said in a press release.

The interactive map features daily updates, custom notifications, data sets, and detailed project information.

“This user-friendly format empowers citizens to stay informed and engaged in the work and events impacting their communities,” Brands said.

To view the new road closure viewer, people can go to the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services website or roadclosures.indy.gov.
