The head of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management said the Clean Air Act — the federal law that regulates air pollution in the U.S. — desperately needs to be updated. Clint Woods spoke at a recent hearing about the Clean Air Act at the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Most Indiana voters said the state is on the “wrong track” and expressed growing frustration with their political choices — including unfavorable views of top elected officials and both major parties — according to a new statewide poll released Tuesday.

Over 200 casino workers in Central Indiana overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike for union recognition. The Hoosier workers are also demanding better short-term disability pay, increased wages and safer parking lots. The vote to authorize a strike does not mean workers will strike.
