With just one week until Election Day House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, campaigned for Republican 9th District Congressional Candidate Trey Hollingsworth at a rally in Sellersburg.

Hollingsworth is making a big push ahead of Election Day, hoping to win over disenfranchised voters and beat out Democratic opponent Shelli Yoder. During the rally Tuesday, Hollingsworth said Yoder won't bring change to Washington.

“The Nancy Pelosi politics, the Hillary Clinton politics, the Shelli Yoder politics are evil,” Hollingsworth said. “They are destroying and eradicating the values that we hold dear in this country.”

House Speaker Paul Ryan used his remarks to stress the importance of Indiana's role in determining which party controls Congress. He urged Hoosiers to vote for Hollingsworth.

“Do you want a liberal college professor who's out there stumping for Hillary Clinton?” Ryan said. “Or do you want somebody whose created hundreds of Hoosier jobs?”

In a statement, Yoder's campaign manager said, “We trust Hoosier voters to decide between a Hoosier public servant, mom, and educator or a multimillionaire, out-of-state, carpetbagging tax evader who’s trying to buy this seat.”
