The nonprofit will use the $2 million grant to create a program that aims to reduce new infections, increase access to care and promote health equity for young transgender persons of color ages 13 to 34.

A new program to address a rising number of new HIV cases among young people will also be youth led.

The program will provide tenant-based rental assistance, short-term rent, mortgage and utility assistance as well as other supportive services to 212 households each year.
