Hoosiers with farmland, rental properties and vacation homes won new benefits under recent law, tax expert says.

Employers across Indiana want to provide on-the-job training opportunities for student and adult learners. However, a new report shows many employers said barriers prevent them from hosting programs like apprenticeships, internships and other training.

The state of Indiana will close the books on its previous state budget Tuesday.

The state is working to expand youth and adult apprenticeship programs to meet high employer demand for workers. But researchers say more work needs to be done to make sure the programs meet specific needs.

Panelists at an Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute event proposed policies and solutions to things such as housing availability and electric vehicle production.
