Common Cause Indiana, the League of Women Voters of Indiana and the Madison County NAACP have filed a preliminary injunction in their lawsuit against Andersons city council.

The League of Women Voters of Indianapolis wants to help people understand the voting process.

The organization said it changed its stance because the university would be less likely than the state-appointed emergency manager to cut art, music and other classes.

The legal action was brought on behalf of Indiana's NAACP and the League of Women Voters.
