The Death Penalty
January 08, 2020
Indiana is one of 29 states that has the death penalty. But last month it marked ten years since it carried out an execution. Is capital punishment a necessary option for punishing and deterring the most heinous crimes, or should it be abolished?
We talk to a reporter about how things have changed around the death penalty in Indiana over the last decade, and to a national expert about what statistics tell us.
We also hear from a Hoosier whose transformation in the wake of personal tragedy inspired a foundation that calls for alternatives to capital punishment.
