Indiana’s critical U.S. Senate race will draw two presidents to the state within the coming days.

The Indiana Democratic Party announced Wednesday former President Barack Obama will campaign for incumbent U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) and other Democratic candidates Sunday in Gary.

President Donald Trump will make two campaign trips to Indiana – Friday in Indianapolis and Monday in Fort Wayne.

That follows recent appearances by former Vice President Joe Biden,  campaigning for Donnelly; and Donald Trump, Jr.,  campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Mike Braun, among others.

Brandon Smith has covered the Statehouse for Indiana Public Broadcasting for more than a decade, spanning three governors and a dozen legislative sessions. He's also the host of Indiana Week in Review, a weekly political and policy discussion program seen and heard across the state.
