The album has been described as the "Sgt. Pepper of the Midwest."; Lester Johnson who co-founded the psychedelic soul group Ebony Rhythm Band.; Ron Matelic of Sir Winston and the Commons and Anonymous. In 1966 Sir Winston and the Commons released one of the first Indiana psychedelic records "Not the Spirit of India.".
