Hear an interview with the Indianapolis-based composer, performer, and multimedia artist Jordan Munson. A trained percussionist with a background in improvisation, electronic music, and sound design, Munson creates immersive works that blend acoustic instruments, electronics, and experimental composition. His music has been presented at venues and festivals around the world, and his 2018 album Until My Last received praise from The New York Times and was named one of the favorite albums of 2018 by members of the band Wilco.
Munson’s latest project, We Walk Beneath A Patient Sky, is a collaboration with Dance Kaleidoscope featuring choreography by Joshua Blake Carter. The work finds Munson expanding his sonic palette by incorporating elements of traditional Appalachian folk music.
