Puget Sound is home to a myriad of wildlife. This ecosystem comprises more than 2,000 miles of inland shoreline, into which 24 rivers drain from 2 mountain ranges. It is home to 3 million people; despite human development, this regional estuary is haven to wildlife whose ecology is not so much controlled by the ravages of industrialization, but rather by the changing seasons and the whims of time
