Voters in Indiana House District 32 will choose between two candidates this November to represent them in the Indiana House of Representatives. The district includes portions of Hamilton and Marion counties. It includes the city of Fishers and a portion of Carmel.
There are 100 members of the Indiana House of Representatives. Their job is to work alongside the governor and the Indiana State Senate to create laws and set the state budget. Their seats go up for election every two years, and in Indiana there is no limit on the number of terms a representative can serve.
WFYI opened an ongoing voter survey in May, and the most common voting issues were data center policy, affordability, and feeling disempowered.
WFYI contacted each campaign and sent a survey based on voter questions — it asked candidates for their top priorities and their positions on civic health, data centers and affordability. For candidates who did not respond, information was gathered from websites and social media for a "Top priorities" note. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.

If elected, what are your top policy priorities?
1-Property Tax Reform, reduce or eliminate, (I like House Bill 1288)
We lead the Nation in Mortgage foreclosures,* we evict people who own their home that have fallen on hard times and can't pay the Prop Tax,** we charge taxes on the unrealized gain based on assessed value!
2-Eraticate Fraud Waste and Abuse in Gov Programs.
3-Do a better Job with Roads and Infrastructure.

Many voters told us they don't think today's politicians listen to their constituents. Why do you think that is, and how would you address the concern?
They only listen to the constituents of their own Party is the problem. I would want to have regular Town Hall meetings to listen and learn what everyone's concerns are.
What is your position on data center development in Indiana?
I am glad there is not one near my home. Given the grid we could have them in very remote areas which would alleviate the concerns most people have.
Many voters told us they struggle to afford food, housing and healthcare. If elected, how would you help them address those needs?
First, I don't believe every need that exists is to be solved by Government, more personal responsibility is a step in the right direction!
The elimination of PropTaxes is a big step towards affordability issues, mine are $4800.00 a year, that buys a bunch of groceries, we considered downsizing and renting out our current home, guess what the PropTaxes DOUBLE to $9600! We would have to pass on $1000.00 per month to the renter to cover the taxes and Insurance, OUCH! No wonder rents are so high.
Medicaid helps our lower income Hoosiers and the Medicare crowd has lots of options that are great, those who get their Health Ins from their Employer are normally in good shape, this is where personal responsibility is needed, perhaps some should seek other employment where benefits are better or change diet and exercise habits, Healthcare Insurance is not right but where you work and how you control the status of your health is something you can do!
