Indianapolis police launched a new online transparency portal that lets the public search reports, calls for service and other information about neighborhood policing.

The Black Church Coalition will host an event this Thursday to demand better public safety and revenue investments from Indianapolis policymakers.

New council member Dr. Carlos Perkins talks about the impact religion has on local politics and his priorities for his first year on the council.

The group is among many asking lawmakers to invest in community mental health services and the existing 988 crisis response hotline.
