The name of a teenager killed in a shooting outside an Indianapolis shopping mall has been released.

Indianapolis police said a preliminary investigation shows an altercation between the three individuals in the mall's parking lot led to the gunfire.

Investigators don't know what led to the shooting. However, it's believed the shooting was not random and the individuals involved knew each other.
